Knives of Alaska - Pronghorn Knife Giveaway!
Want to win me?
Want to win this quality knife for the Fall hunting season? Remember my latest gear review on the Pronghorn knife? It's a great knife and I am giving it away! Why, you ask? Well, I have plenty of knives and I know that there are some of you out there that really need a new one!

I am going to make this giveaway worth it for you, but you will need to do a little work.

THERE ARE TWO ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
First, I want to know what knife you are currently using. Are you using a soup can lid for field dressing your game? Describe it for us in detail! Better yet, post a photo of it on your blog with a link back to the contest. (I'll give you a bonus entry for that, but you'll have to post the link to your blog post back here as a separate comment.)

Second, I want you to tell me how badly you need this KOA Pronghorn Knife.

(Complete both entry requirements by leaving a comment on this post with your answers. The SoCal Bowhunter does not use forms. Please leave a comment with a valid email address for each entry you complete. This is how I will contact the winner. If you put multiple items in a comment it is only counted as one entry.)

BONUS ENTRIES
(+1 for each - add one comment for each item you complete. Complete all or any. You must complete the first part before being considered for any bonus entries.)

  1. I'm currently using a cheap Browning skinning knife I bought from Meijer for $9.99.

I need this knife because I'm currently using a cheap Browning skinning knife I bought from Meijer for $9.99. I've needed a knife for some time and it is the one piece of gear that I never seem to have enough money to upgrade. Something always comes up.

I already follow Alejandro on Twitter and FB.

  3. I currently use a wicked old, Old Timer that has a bulky green handle.

I need this knife because my knife does not cut like 'Buttah' it cuts more like really hard cheese . . .

  4. I need this knife to go along with my other KOA knives! Plus, it'll look good in my review of the KOA Muskrat if it is sitting nearby like my Cub and Bush Camp knives will be. So please, please, please.... (and when I do my review on the Muskrat in the next week or so, I'll add a link over to your site for a review on the Pronghorn! BROWNIE POINTS!!!!)

  7. I currently have a Schrade Old Timer Outfitter Knife with that nasty green handle. It was a gift from my dad that I got 15+ years ago and has been a great knife but it dulls up after cutting through a blade of grass.

I need the knife because a man can never have too many knifes plus I need one that is reliable and cuts like "buttah". It would look good strapped to my hip and my hunting friends would be jealous.

  8. Great giveaway, Al! It is a very generous offer, but don't count me in - I am set on knives right now.

Just wanted to mention that I am using a Benchmade Activator+ and it is working out really well.

Best of luck to those entering!

  9. Currently I use a small knife I received at Hunter Ed Instructor training. Last weekend when I cleaned a deer it did a great job at mauling the meat. It would be great to win your knife so I no longer get asked what I am going to do with that little knife and so I don't get laughed at any longer. Please select me and emailI me at coyote.feeder@gmail.com so I can get the last laugh when I show my friends what a nice knife I have.

    Thank you, David

  10. I have more than enough knives to last me so I'm not going to enter and take up a chance for someone else to win. I just wanted to say it's very generous of you to give this great blade away! It will serve the lucky winner very well.

  11. Schrade old timer, it cuts. It holds a good edge, but a Sharp new blade would do me good. Pics to come.

  12. Count me in, I posted a post called Give-away at the SoCal Bowhunter and my link for the post is

    http://whitetailwoods.blogspot.com/2011/09/give-away-at-socal-bowhunter.html

My second requirement is I need this knife badly because during deer season when I am not hunting I tend to do handyman side jobs and it's tough when I need a knife and I can't find it because it's home with my hunting gear.:(

I don't have any other comments to post because I feel my need outways entering anything else or at least i hope so.

Good luck to all who enter.

  19. I currently use a 3 1/2 Schrade folder.

I need this knife so that I can stop using my Schrade. The Schrade was my father's and I'd like to keep it instead of use it.

  23. I am using a low grade (cheap) knife that I bought at Big 5 about thirty years ago for approximately ten bucks. I have used it on game and fish over the years. I have used it for the intended purpose, plus other things such as a mini-shovel and a can opener. I have watched it rust over the years, as I never thought of the alcohol wipes...

I could really use this beautiful new knife, as my old knife shows the wear of years of use. When I use my current knife, children laugh at me and adults pity me. I can just imagine how much better my life will be if I win. For me, this win would be better than the super lottery. Please pick me, and help me live a better, more fulfilling life!
